In today's era where environmental protection and resource recycling are emphasized, technologies and equipment in the field of battery environmental recycling are constantly innovating. Among them, roller screens and linear screens, as important screening equipment, play a key role in the battery recycling process. Recently, the industry has conducted in-depth discussions and comparisons on the application performance of these two types of equipment in battery environmental recycling.
In terms of working principles, the roller screen is driven by a motor to make the screen cylinder rotate. After materials enter the screen cylinder from the feed port, they continuously roll and move during the rotation. Materials smaller than the size of the screen holes fall through the screen holes to achieve screening. This dynamic rolling method effectively reduces the possibility of materials blocking the screen holes, and is especially suitable for handling battery recycling materials with irregular shapes and high viscosity. The linear screen, on the other hand, uses the exciting force generated by the vibration motor to make the screen body vibrate reciprocally in a straight line direction. Materials make parabolic movements on the screen surface and are classified through screen meshes of different meshes. Linear screens also have good screening efficiency when handling materials with uniform particle sizes. For example, in some lithium iron phosphate battery pole piece recycling projects, linear screens first separate about 70% of lithium iron phosphate powder with an aluminum content of about 200ppm. However, when dealing with irregularly shaped and easy-to-agglomerate battery crushed materials, their screening efficiency will be affected to a certain extent, and material blockage of the screen mesh is prone to occur, resulting in failure to meet the expected output.
Environmental performance is also an important indicator to measure these two types of equipment. The roller screen adopts a closed design, which has low noise during operation and can effectively prevent dust from leaking. In some lithium battery recycling production lines, with the cooperation of negative pressure operation and pulse dust removal system, the dust emission can be controlled at < 5mg/m3, which meets strict environmental protection requirements. When the linear screen is in operation, due to the relatively intense vibration, if the sealing measures are not in place, it is easy to generate dust, causing certain pollution to the working environment. At the same time, the noise generated by its vibration is relatively large, and in scenarios with high requirements for the working environment, additional noise reduction measures may be required.
Comprehensively speaking, both roller screens and linear screens have their own advantages and disadvantages in battery environmental recycling. Roller screens have obvious advantages in handling complex battery recycling materials due to their anti-clogging, large processing capacity and good environmental performance; linear screens can efficiently complete the screening task when handling materials with uniform particle size and good fluidity. With the continuous development of battery environmental recycling technology, these two types of equipment will continue to be improved and innovated in the future, providing stronger support for the efficient and environmentally friendly development of the battery recycling industry.
